my first ever pasta

It's baked tuna pasta! i've been wanting to try cooking this pasta the past few weeks ever since i read this post - Tuna Pasta Bake from the blog - risk of rain. I never once cooked pasta before but since it looked so delicious, i finally have the will to try. If you have tried making pasta sauce before, then stay making it that way. People usually use minced beef but since halal minced beef is quite expensive here so we usually substitutes that with canned tuna or sardin. The only difference is that the pasta was baked with a lot grated cheese on top and also sprinkled with breadcrumbs. Bake the pasta and then yay, eat it with a full of joy and excitement :D

lantern lantern

it was the annual Lantern Festival again!

so this was my third time attending this event ever since i first came here on january 2009. Talking about Lantern festival so obviously there'll be a lot of lanterns here and there so the perfect time to go is at night, where only then you can see the beautiful lights of lanterns. But unfortunately, i didn's shoot a lot of lantern pictures when i went there on the first day. i went back two days later but i only managed to take just a few pictures before the battery went out..duuh i should have charged the battery!



So apart from the lantern itself, you can of course see a huge crowd of people, variety of performances especially from the chinese people, food stalls and what i like most about this festival is the fireworks!!!!

the final exam is over, yay (as if i got a whole lot of time to enjoy huhu)

the new semester will start in ten days so i have like a week break only.

 i guess i need to prepare myself, mentally and physically for the coming semester.

Final stage papers would be the hardest after all. so yea i hope i'll start the new semester with new spirits - no more oversleeping, no more skipping class, no more procrastination and no more last minute study cause please, i don't need any more regrets.

i know i'm a litte too late to but yeah let's start new spirits everyone and do our very best this year ;D

boost your energy with brownies!~

i like to spend my time reading this blog - Chocolate and Carrots and last night i came across this one easy recipe. I am so keen to try baking the brownies she made. It does look really good and salivating. More over, i'd like that brownies to be my midnight snacks, the one i can eat while studying for the exam. Well it's common that we Malaysian people always stay up late at night to study and feeling hungry with some growling sounds in our stomachs in the middle of studying is common too! erm yeah i think so..who's with me? hehe

So the recipe is simple - no weird ingredient in the recipe, and also with just a few simple steps.

my summer school has finally ended, unofficially! We had the last lecture today and it was also the day of the second oral test. Fyi here in my uni, it is compulsary for us to take 2 general education subjects in order to pass the course. My other chemistry major friends already did Maori Language or Spanish last semester but i don't have the interest to do any of them. So here i am now spending my summer doing Japanese130G while most of my friends are spending their long and warm summer break in Malaysia. But to tell you the truth i have no regrets sacrificing my summer break for the sake of this subject. I fall in love with Japanese language since my secondary school years back in scipp. And to learn this subject is quite an excitement for me. I enjoyed every single lecture and tutorial, i love all the teachers and also all my new friends. It's so sad that it's over now :'(

oh and back to what i am going to tell you, i screwed up today's oral test. This time i need to make a conversation between me and the teacher. just the two of us. I practiced quite a lot with my friends and i don't think it is really hard. But when i actually entered the room, where the sensei was sitting and finally pressing the recorder button, my mind suddenly went blank. i haven't got really nervous, seriously but the words just didnt come out of my mouth. i kept silent for a few seconds and finally started to speak. Gosh i should have done better but it was over anyway, Alhamdulillah. Now is the time to concentrate on the final exam, on feb14 which is of course this coming monday.

my mama loves to bake pizza, especially when everybody is around. so i've got the chance to eat homemade pizza when i was back at home last december. that was my last pizza bites.

Taken during the Auckland Anniversary Regatta last January 31st. It was my very first experience watching the regatta (sailboats race kind of), though I've been here for about three years already :D
