Eating Halal (Not Arnotts) Asalamu alaikum wr wb :D
Many people commit haram acts because they are not too concerned about eating halal and fall into the haram without knowing it. There is a relationship with what you eat and your actions. There are many verses in the Qur'an and ahadith explaining this.
I dont want to get into details about this but I'm worried about this matter because alot of sheikhs dont actually know the technical side of food productions and the laws pertaining so it.
I'll give you one example here in Australia.
Arnotts cream biscuits e.g tim tams, monte carlo etc are NOT halal. A person might look at the back of the packet 4 the ingredents and read it and find nothing to suggest that it is haram but the fact is (and you can verify this by calling arnotts : Freecall 1800 24 24 92 (anywhere in Australia)):
They use a small percentage of alcohol in the cream, which by law they dont have to mention in the ingredents .
Alhumdulilah there are many other brands which are halal which taste just as good so dont be sad, be happy....
